June 2020 Chapter Meeting
Creating a Minimal Marketable FeatureCreating a Minimal Marketable Feature (MMF) and decomposing the work based on that feature can be intimidating. The purpose of MMF is to identify the smallest piece of functionality in a product that could provide value to your customer. The work will address a need while providing a pipeline for follow-on scope that is clear and backed by the business line. This presentation will get you started in what to expect when starting your Feature Decomposition. Justin Trotter CBAP, CSPO has been a business analyst and product owner for over 10 years working to perform gap analysis, implement process improvement, and build minimally viable products for multiple industries. He has worked in environments including Tax and Auditing for CCH, Governance Risk and Compliance for CT Corporation, Encryption for the Air Force, Financial Services for US Bank, and Criminal Justice systems for DOJ contracts. He is currently a Product Owner and Site Lead at the CJIS FBI center in Clarksburg, WV working on the National Crime Information Center 3rd Generation solution for law enforcement. Justin holds a BA in Biology and Economics from Wichita State University and is completing his MBA and MS in Business Intelligence & Analytics from Creighton University. |
Annual General Meeting and State of the Chapter
NEWS: Annual General Meeting
We will hold our Annual General Meeting on Monday, June 8, 2020 via this WebEx event.
In addition to board members delivering reports to our membership, we will discuss the chapter's plan to administer elections online this year, where the following board positions will be up for election:
- Treasurer (incumbent: Maria Cossu)
- Secretary (incumbent: Donna Williams, who is retiring after over a decade of service)
- VP of Marketing (incumbent: Joel Myers, who is retiring after taking a job in State College)
Nominations can be made at the June meeting, or can be emailed to President@Pittsburgh.IIBA.org by 11:59 PM Tuesday, June 30, 2020.
