Let’s talk about the amazing tool that LinkedIn is.
Let’s chat about the in’s & out’s of today’s LinkedIn... |
Jenn Mazza is looking forward to sharing her enthusiasm for LinkedIn. Used well, it can be a fantastic tool to help folks stay connected to and engaged in various topics of interest.
Jenn is the Director of Business Development & Business Analyst for Mazza Design Solutions, LLC, a family business in the Pittsburgh area. MDS delivers Consulting Engineering, Project Management, and Design Services for projects in the fields of Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Structural Engineering, as well as Surveying and Landscape Architecture. Business Analysis techniques and principles help the firm to define and manage project requirements in order to meet client needs and respond to market changes. Being part of a team assisting clients with their project phases, from an initial big idea through construction is very satisfying.
Jenn's background in Software Development includes Systems Analysis, IT Consulting, Business Analysis, and User Training at various companies including Fortune 500s in NYC & NJ. At Penn State University, Jenn studied QBA: Quantitative Business Analysis and Management Science/MIS, with a concentration in Economics. Work experience includes the Insurance, Financial, Scientific, Sales & Marketing, Construction, and Energy industries as well as project work involving university service learning initiatives.
She continues to be fascinated by Information Systems and Process Improvement including the rewarding work of guiding organizations in making sound strategic decisions. Working with nonprofits and donating countless hours as a volunteer has given Jenn an appreciation for a variety of business models. Mentoring college students and actively networking in professional groups provide Jenn with recurring opportunities to utilize LinkedIn in powerful ways. Jenn believes that the paper resume is an outdated, suffocating, one-dimensional attempt at describing one's brand. The power of LinkedIn lies in its robust, real-time, summary of self. Because we really only get one chance to make a great first impression, it's critical to portray ourselves well to the vast online audience that LinkedIn is. But, it's not frightening; it’s fun.
Be Prepared, Polished, & Professional. Be ready to make connections that count...
