Spring 2016 BABOK Review Sessions
Registration is now CLOSED!
If you'd still like to join, email Marketing@Pittsburgh.IIBA.org for details.
In just a few months, September 2016, the IIBA's certifcation process changes to a new, yet-to-be-defined format based on the new BABOK version 3, which contains a significant amount of new content.
In response to this change, we expect a strong increase in the number of people sitting for the exams before the changeover. To help you check that certification off your career to-do list, the Pittsburgh IIBA Chapter is offering one final series of BABOK version 2 review sessions.
Local, experienced CBAP-certified BAs will teach the two-hour classes Tuesdays, March 8 through May 17 at Highmark's Fifth Avenue Place location downtown. The schedule is as follows:
Tuesdays | BABOK Chapter | Chapter Name |
March 8, 2016 | Chapter 1 | Introduction |
March 15, 2016 | Chapter 2 – Part 1 | Business Analysis Planning & Monitoring |
March 22, 2016 | Chapter 2 – Part 2 | Business Analysis Planning & Monitoring |
March 29, 2016 | Chapter 3 | Elicitation |
April 5, 2016 | Chapter 4 | Requirements Management & Communication |
April 12, 2016 | Chapter 5 – Part 1 | Enterprise Analysis |
April 19, 2016 | Chapter 5 – Part 2 | Enterprise Analysis |
April 26, 2016 | Chapter 6 – Part 1 | Requirements Analysis |
May 3, 2016 | Chapter 6 – Part 2 | Requirements Analysis |
May 10, 2016 | Chapter 7 | Solution Assessment & Validation |
May 17, 2016 | Chapter 8 | Underlying Competencies |
Classes will run 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM and are structured to meet the 21-hour professional development requirement to sit for the CCBA or CBAP for those who attend all the sessions.
For the entire eleven-session class, tuition is FREE for chapter members, and only $30 for non-members. By comparison, one nearby university charges offers a similar 21-hour class for $1695! For information on joining the IIBA, please see our membership page or contact our VP of membership.
