June 2018 Chapter Meeting

Monday, June 11, 2018 -
5:30pm to 7:30pm

An Agile Case Study

Scrum is showing up everywhere these days. More and more organizations are expecting new employees to come equipped with Agile/Scrum experience, and yet there remains much confusion about not only what Scrum is, but how it gets used in the real world.  Some of the most common questions about Scrum are: How do the traditional roles get used? Where do the PMs fit in? How about the BAs?

What better way is there to answer these questions than to take a close look at an actual Scrum project that played out in the last year, right here in Pittsburgh?  During this presentation we will look at how a team completely new to Scrum, from all IT disciplines, came together and succeeded at making Scrum work for them.  You will clearly see that not only were there BAs on the team, but in fact they held some of the most important positions!
